We will have all kind of fun things to do during these cold months like butter and cheese making with One Ash Farms, a painting workshop that is perfect for beginners taught by Sidney Zemp and wonderful artist from Bamberg, social media workshops, Photoshop workshops and more.

Some of our local farmers have been bringing local produce, Fresh Raw Milk, and baked goods for you to purchase. You can find what's new at Cumbee Place on our website or like our facebook page and we will be happy to keep you updated. So stop by and see what Cumbee Place is all about. As we like to say, “Come be a part of Cumbee Place"

Harriet’s Garden will be closed for the month of January which really means I just won’t have regular hours.  If you need me call the shop.  I have call-forwarding and can be reached.  If my car is there, stop by.  I will begin planting seeds for the spring season.  This is always a fun job for me and it is also amazing to see these little seeds turn into plants.  How fortunate I am.

Shelby Yonce: The Ridge Spring Christmas Tour of Homes was a big success and enjoyed by people from many areas.  The homes were beautifully decorated for Christmas.  Thanks to everyone for supporting the GREEN THUMB GARDEN CLUB with this project.

Josie Rodgers: RSM High:  The Student Council once again sponsored the door decorating contest.  Fourth period classes decorated their classroom doors in a holiday theme. This year, an anonymous donor paid for the food for the winning door. We are very grateful for the generosity of this anonymous donor. Congratulations to the following classes for winning the door decorating contest: 1st place: Olaf from Frozen - Bedenbaugh (Zaxby’s prize; 2nd place: Charlie Brown – Burns (Subway prize); 3rd place: Trojan Express – Jackson (Pizza); Honorable Mention: All I Want for Christmas – Padgett.
George W. Key: Once again the “Our Sunday Best Talent Showcase” was a stellar event; hosted by Pastors George W. Key and James Abraham. 13 contestants put forth their Sunday best, but only one emerged as the helpful Hands Mission “Our Sunday Best” Winner. The amazing Shayla Andrews singing captivated the audience.
The Helpful Hands Mission also awarded a 1st and 2nd place spirit aware; 1st place to Talayah Hamilton and 2nd place to ABC Dance Team.  Throughout the night many door prices were given.  It was a lovely evening with the stars; we congratulate all our winners.
The Next “Our Sunday Best” Talent showcase is in the making for late April or early May. We are looking for sponsors, singers, cancers, comic and we may even throw in a “Our Sunday Best Fashion Show”.

Patsy Asbill: The Ridge Spring Library has been fortunate in getting people to volunteer to help keep the library open. We have enough people that we can now be open the entire day on Friday. Thanks to all those who give their time to keep the library open for as many hours as possible. Currently, we have an excess of donated books and need time to process those that we have. We appreciate all the public's help with securing books but ask that donations be held until the first of the year.

RIDGE SPRING UNITED METHODIST CHURCH:
Big Red Box: Collections for the month of December go to the Helpful Hands Mission located in Ridge Spring. Non perishable food items will be delivered to the Mission before Christmas. If you would like to donate please leave your items on the porch of the Family Life Center (FLC).
