I know we are all getting a little tired or really tired of the rain.  I am sure we can find something positive in all of this, you cannot mow your grass, you need to remember these feeling in the August Sun, everything is in bloom, and the old poem we learned in school about April Showers bring May flowers is so true.  On another personal note, when we were in Goeppingen, Germany I got a text.  It startled me for I was not expecting one.  Guess who it was from?  WLTX had issued a thunderstorm alert and I got it.

Lee Ann Perez/ One Ash Farm & Dairy: Spring is here and things are really busy around the farm!  All of the goats and lambs have been born, chicks have been hatching and a new calf has arrived. It's also been planting time and the garden has been plowed with true horse-power and our trusty draft horse.  Most all of the veggies are in and this rain has really been helping them get a good start.

We've been busy adding to our line of soaps, salves and other bath products.
There's even a new spot on our web site to look at all we have to offer from
One Ash Farm & Dairy Apothecary at http://www.oneashfarmanddairy.com/apothecary.html
Just like with our milk, eggs and bread, we have pick up available off the farm- just give us a call!  Have a blessed week! (Personal addition to One Ash Farm and Dairy:  My cousins came to visit Ridge Spring. One of my cousins told me of her coming from Atlanta to Columbia and decided to get off the interstate last year.  She turned onto this road and accidentally found this farm that sold milk that was delicious.  The more we talked the more I realized she was talking about One Ash Farm.  She talked about how nice they had been and how she wanted to find them again.  Well, no problem with that.  I had all their information in my phone.  Then she showed me how to share that info with ease.  You can learn something new every day. They also went to Juniper and Brandon warmed up the corn chowder for them.  Small town living at its best...  Oh, then they went on to Cone’s and got 8 pounds of sausage.)

Ridge Spring News

We had a wonderful trip.  The cities were huge, the monuments were really there and very impressive, the history is everywhere and I am glad I went.  My father was stationed in Goeppingen, Germany at Cooke Barracks from 1959 to 1962.  My mother and I joined him.  With the help of my daughter Melissa Senf and my granddaughter Alena, we went back to what had been Cooke Barracks.  I recognized the school, the church and other areas that had been remodeled and renovated.  Two of the streets was named John F. Kennedy Ave and Martin Luther King Ave.  I realized that when we were there he was president and neither man had been assassinated. Fond memories abound.  Then we were off to tour other cities including Reims and Paris, France and then London, England.  There was so much to see and to do for all of us.  We truly were ready to come home though.  Returning to the South during the spring is a beautiful time for all of us, even those who have allergies.  At least they can look through the windows to see the beauty.  I am glad to be back home with Bob, my family, and my friends.
Now back to the Ridge Spring News:
